The Hunger Games (2012)

the GOOD

Director: Gary Ross

“Welcome! We salute your courage and your sacrifice and we wish you Happy Hunger Games!”
When the Hunger Games played in the theatres, i was instantly stoked and gave it 10/10.
Now, after having read the books and seen the film once more, it’s down to 9/10.
I still love the designs, wardrobe and fotography, along with most of everything else, but it does have some minor flaws. The book gives a lot more information and backgrounds on the characters, but the film is definitely better many times.  People are quick to point out the similarities to Battle Royale, which is understandable, yet neither the books nor the films have a whole lot in common and stand on their own.
