Galaxy of Terror (1981)

the WEIRD

7/10

Director: Bruce D. Clark

“I live and die by the crystals.”
A low budget Roger Corman rip off of Alien, you probably know what to expect.
This is light years away from an average SciFic film of the time, but i like it cheesy and there are lots of great and original ideas, which makes up for a lot of the budget related issues.
Robert Englund, Sid Haig and Grace Zabriskie give solid performances and the story does seem to been an influence for Event Horizon.
It’s a gory fun ride for late nights and the alien rape scene is weird enough on it’s own.
